Berquist Recovery Consulting (BRC) helps local governments, schools, utilities, healthcare systems, and nonprofits navigate FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster-related federal grant programs. We support organizations through planning, project formulation, documentation, compliance, and reimbursement so communities can recover faster and more effectively.

We are always interested in connecting with experienced disaster recovery professionals who want to make a practical, positive contribution after disasters while working in a flexible, professional environment.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome resumes from professionals with extensive experience in FEMA and related disaster recovery and federal grant programs, including:

  • FEMA Public Assistance (PA)
  • Hazard mitigation and resilience programs
  • Applicant support for municipalities, counties, school districts, utilities, healthcare systems, and nonprofits
  • Project worksheets, closeout support, and reimbursement processes
  • Appeals & arbitration support
  • Federal grant compliance, documentation, and audits
  • Additional disaster and community and resilience-related grant programs

Experience may come from consulting, government, engineering, construction management, grants administration, finance, or program delivery roles.
